A HISTORY

The Goodfellas are a five-piece wedding and corporate band based in Northern Ireland who perform totally live all over Ireland. We were formed way back in 1997. We got our name after weeks of thinking without success until one Sunday night when Liam got a phone call. "My sis phoned me and said, there's a movie on the telly and I think it would be a great name for your band". Initially Liam wasn't too sure of the idea until the next morning when he awoke and it came straight into his head and he thought yeah "I like the sound of that!"... hence today we are now known as The Goodfellas Band. The band consists of Liam on lead vocals, flute, guitar and whistle. Damien on keyboards and backing vocals. Stevie on guitar and backing vocals. Colm on bass guitar and backing vocals, and finally Seammy on drums and percussion.

Since the band played its first gig they have performed at venues all over Ireland as well as Scotland and England and have received rave reviews!

The Goodfellas perform at weddings, corporate functions, birthday parties, outdoor festivals and night clubs. The versatility and talent within the band means that most music tastes are catered for, young and old alike. The massive vocal range of Liam (known as 'The Voice') make it possible to virtually perform songs from any artist such as Tom Jones, Elvis, Barry White, George Michael, Robbie Willams, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Bob Segar, joe cocker, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bryan Adams, Lionel Richie, Meat Loaf, Journey, Rainbow, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, and many many more!

All modern day artists and groups like Snow Patrol, Kidrock, Toploader, James Blunt, Stereophonics, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Queen, Scissor Sisters, Take That, Razorlight, Amy Winehouse, Gnarls Barkley, Mika, Shayne Ward, The Communards and Erasure are just to mention but a few, which also get a rendition from this lively talented band.

At the end of the show the band performs a Celtic rock set from the Horslips, Saw Doctors, The Pogues, The Proclaimers and The Undertones. This has the crowds jumping and shouting for more which leaves an unforgettable memory as they travel home.

The popularity of this hardworking band just keeps growing & growing and large crowds follow them wherever they perform. With a massive sound and lighting system the band enjoy performing at various venues throughout the country, and never fail to entertain the crowds.
